1 AM Thoughts
Does everyone do this? Lie awake all night, bearing witness to the past.
It stands before me, in the guise of a child, and whispers to me for an hour.
What I could have done differently. The kindness I could have shared. The person I could have been.
I want to believe I can change. Because I know worse spectres are coming. And they aren’t kind enough to lie to me.
