The Halloween Heap! How to dispose of unwanted Treats!
In these trying times, one can’t waste good sugar! If you finish the Halloween season with a mound of candy, think of it like any other ingredient. Sorted and melted, you will have access to uniquely flavoured syrups you can use like honey or treacle.
It will come in handy over the long winter underground. Use it to nurture your young. It should help several of them reach their first molt. Then, when the ground thaws, they’ll have the energy to hunt it for themselves.
